Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use CrayonInk (the "service"). By using the service you agree to them.

Who can use the service

You must be at least 18 years old. The service is not directed at children under 13.

Your photos and your rights

• Only upload photos you took, own, or have permission to use. For photos of children, you must be their parent or legal guardian or have that person's permission.
• You keep all rights you have in your photos. You give us a limited permission to store and process each photo only to create the pages you ask for and to operate the service, for as long as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You are responsible for making sure you may use any characters, artwork or trademarks shown in your images.
• You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy.

Your results

As between you and us, you may use the pages you generate for personal, family, classroom and gift purposes. Generated drawings are interpretations of your photo: faces and details may be simplified or differ from the original, and we don't guarantee a particular likeness or print result.

Free pages, limits and failures

• AI pages need a Google sign-in. When generation is open to everyone, each new account receives a one-time set of free pages; during the private beta, AI pages are invite-only. Coloring books have a page limit. We may change these limits.
• Regenerating a page uses another page. Outlines have their own daily limit and don't use pages from your balance.
• If a page fails for a technical reason, the page it used is returned to your balance automatically. In a coloring book, only the page that failed is returned.
• Paid products shown on the pricing page are not available for purchase yet.

Storage and deletion

Original photos are deleted from our storage right after generation (at most 24 hours). Pages and book PDFs are deleted after 7 days. Download anything you want to keep — deleted files can't be recovered.

Third-party processing

Coloring pages and line art are generated by our AI provider, fal.ai, and the site runs on cloud infrastructure. Those providers process data under their own terms. Outlines are made on our own servers without AI.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently zero, as the service is free).

Suspension

We may block uploads or remove content that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy.
